Catch Me If You Can ★★★★

The scene in which Frank is hosting a party but can’t enjoy it because he’s freaking out at people for not appreciating how expensive everything is, this is the high point. He’s a poor kid masquerading as a rich one, and all his incredibly skillful charades can’t mask the fact. As compelling as the story is—and the storytelling—this thing works best as a character study of a smart kid incapable of growing up, with a father guilty of the same.
