Oppenheimer 2023
Now, I am not a huge Christopher Nolan fan, in fact I truly love only a few of his movies (Memento, The Prestige, and Insomnia) and hate a fair amount (Tenet, Batman Begins / Rises), the rest I think are good but overhyped. There are a lot of adjectives I could throw around for how I felt about this film. Intelligent, mature, hilarious, existential, emotional, but What really stood out to me though is just how well directed it is, Greta Gerwig really knocked it out of the park. Theater Camp 2023
I was pleasantly surprised by Theater Camp. Its not everyday a good mockumentary comes out, and while this isn't as good as Spinal Tap for example, it is still comparable. Ayo Edebiri especially was hilarious and stole every scene she was in. I also enjoyed how much subtle humor there was, lots of blink and you miss it gags was refreshing. My biggest complaint for the film is some of the humor in the second act didn't work for me. Overall though I had a good time, laughed a lot, and am recommending checking it out.

The Faculty 1998
It's spooky season, and it's time for a horror movie marathon. Decided to start off with one of my favorites, The Faculty. I remember seeing a TV edit of this film when I was younger and thinking it was alright and kinda goofy. As an adult seeing it I am more than impressed.
