Zak’s review published on Letterboxd:
I kind of love alarmist "kids go bad" movies of the '50s and '60s. The Beatniks moves a bit slow since the conflict is built in the opening couple scenes and we're just waiting for burgeoning star Eddie to be betrayed by his unhinged friend Moonie. But overall it's kind of fun, even if it's poorly directed and over-acted.
I remembered very little of this MST3K episode. The segments ("Rock, Paper, Scissors" and the discussion of whether "dickweed" is a swear word) are ones I always think of, but the movie itself was only barely familiar (with Tom Servo constantly singing "Meet George Jetson" to the theme of the movie being maybe the one thing that's stuck in my craw all these years).
