Around 4% of people who are executed via the death penalty in the U.S. is innocent. If you’re talking about human life, that’s a huge number. This doc only details one person who may have barely escaped death. Just one gut wrenching piece of film wrapped and embraced with humanity (it’s flaws and virtues all apparent). If you wanted to cry in 40 minutes or less, be my guest.
Wow. How is this my first Paul Thomas Anderson film? I've been in the dark when it comes to watching good films it seems. That's how it seems what Barry Egan goes through when it comes to love. Adam Sandler's best role is perhaps my favorite part of what PTA did in the film.
