    The Guardians of the Galaxy were my first entry into the MCU, and I really enjoy their ensemble fun with planet hopping antics, comedy, and a good soundtrack. This side story was... okay. A cute little adventure, with some nice original songs, but not much substance. There isn't really much in the way of a conflict for very long. Problems resolve in about a minute. 

    So while I enjoyed the Christmasy spirit, and seeing how the Guardians celebrate the holidays, I didn't find this to be as exciting as it could have been. Still fun, but certainly not on par with the two feature-length films.

    I love musicals, and this is a fantastic way to adapt A Christmas Carol into one for a modern audience. Fantastic music, a fun plot, and a good time.

    Reynolds and Ferrell really put their all into this. They're not usually folks I think of when it comes to the leads in a musical, but they definitely did their part well. They have very good chemistry together on screen, keeping the energy up.

    If you've watched Inside, you should watch this. Immediately.

    Cut songs. Cut bits. And a bunch of cool behind the scenes stuff. I particularly enjoyed how he showed the many takes of some songs all at once, and how quickly some failed, while others were so close.

    But really it's all about Bezos III and Bezos IV.

    So this movie is pretty silly, but it's also a lot of fun. I'm definitely pre-disposed to liking stuff like this (points to The Truman Show in my favorites), but I think it has pretty broad appeal. I liked how they portrayed Guy and the other NPCs. I'm glad it only took like 4 or 5 minutes for them to accept "okay we're fake".

    Most of the actual real world stuff about this movie is pretty over the top and…
