I still absolutely love the imagination of this world. All the fancy contraptions in the bath house are just satisfying to watch move.
Every Miyazaki film seems to match perfectly w the way your mind works at a specific age of childhood, and SPIRITED AWAY perfectly captures my own 10 year old self. Full of contradictions: fearless and shy, slothful and eager to help.
It's hard not to feel a real kinship Chihiro on her adventure. And it's so relaxing to watch a film where nothing *really* feels like a threat on screen.
Just a super charming movie that I imagine will resonate w people for generations more.
