Joe’s review published on Letterboxd:
"You must transcend linearity." - Andre Toulon, obviously advising the audience on the best way to understand the Puppet Master series's narrative continuity.
Another wild curveball from America's Least Predictable Horror Film Franchise, this time in the form of an Egyptian demon god named Sutekh who sends a bunch of tiny demon puppets to our dimension in order to prevent any more humans from discovering the Toulon animation elixir that he got from the Egyptians, and also laser tag. I enjoyed Tunneler disemboweling one of the demons with his head-drill but I think my favorite part is an amazing bit of 1993-specific visual punctuation on a death scene: a close-up of the word "FEAR" in a NO FEAR car decal.
