Tangerine ★★★★½

"You see right through me, don't you?"

Has an almost relentless nervous undercurrent that's thrilling but never compromises the comic energy, in no small part because Sin-Dee and Alexandra are such a perfect comedy team, the only structural downside being the big chunk in the middle that they spend separated. This is a weird comparison to make but what the hell, it reminds of "Billie Jean," a song that I've always admired because you can dance to it but it's also unmistakably anxious and paranoid.
