Anthony Hopkins, you need to get a check-up as soon as possible. I can't explain this acting any other way.

  • Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse

Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse

A wonderful documentary about how Apocalypse Now came about by miracles. All the setbacks that can happen to a movie happen, and what comes out as a result is Apocalypse Now. Incredible.

Also, Cappola's speech at the end of the documentary shows why he is so big and visionary.

To me, the great hope is that now these little 8mm video recorders and stuff have come out, and some... just people who normally wouldn't make movies are going to be…

    #AnneFrank. Parallel Stories

Paper has more patience than people.

In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again.

  • The Night Of

    The Night Of

HBO productions are always above a certain quality. The cinematography, the shooting angles, the colors, the acting were absolutely of great quality. I also liked the references in the series and the attention being drawn to distressed areas of the country. But I think it's going to be my least favorite work of all the HBO productions I've ever watched, The Night Of.

Every man dies, not every man really lives.
