Classic case of mostly middle-age, egotistical white men loving the sound of their own voice. I began to sweat myself; even the thought of sitting in that room and being silenced triggers my fight or flight response.
Somehow, someway Lumet makes a deliberation about the facts of and/or assumptions concerning a murder case much more layered than I would have ever expected. Outstanding, daring cinema with a ton to contribute to even our contemporary discussion of the flawed criminal justice system. Should be required viewing.
BTW: To be frank, I think Juror #8 did it. And maybe I’d let him stab me too 🤷🏽♂️
