Really clever combination of the evil A.I. and haunted doll subgenres even if the horror film framing is just the foundation around which they’ve built a self-aware campy comedy. Every beat in the story is unsurprising but at least most of it is fun, even if it could stand to either be a bit more or a bit less ridiculous. Don’t think it’s very good but it’s also kind of great.
