Genuinely a 6/5!
So many little motifs taken from other movies, def need to rewatch a bunch to get all the intertextual Easter eggs.
You know the saying in communications, “make the entry and exit the most catchy, no one remembers the middle bits”? This movie completely flips that on it’s head, with a middle meaty bit that genuinely enraptured me and had me noticing so many little things. While some argue the ending could be a little flat and incongruent with the rest of the story and feel disjointed, I would argue that the banality of it works in it favor (mostly due to my personal connection with the content).
