Following in the footsteps of toro913 (List: Top 1000 Directors) who developed the scoring system and Wade McCormick (List: Directors Ranked) who I discovered the idea from and gave me the formula to work out this list.
Rules of the list:

2. Scoring advantage is given to directors who have more movies I have seen and thus being more prominent in my viewing pleasure.
3. Each director is represented by my favourite movie of theirs (unless that movie is a co-directed film which is already in the list from another director and thus will be represented by my 2nd favourite). In the notes for each movie will be the directors name and their score. I will then give a list of all the movies I have seen of theirs, marking any movie which was not included in the point score due to me not ranking it yet by a *.
4. All directors are listed individually even if their entire career to date has been as a collaboration with someone else. This allows for any future occurrence of them going solo.
5. This list is dynamic and ever changing as I watch new movies or rewatch movies I saw in my past and re-rank them
